Forty-six rooms sit twelve metres above the water on the old fish-landing quay. The spa is cut into the rock shelf beside them. The casino floor occupies three stone vaults under the quay, four metres below the tide line, and it opens for four and a half hours a night. Most guests at this casino hotel never go down the stairs, and the hotel is built on that assumption rather than against it.

The casino floor at Fjordheim occupies three barrel vaults of the original quay, four metres below the tide line. Stone, low blue light, eight tables and a bar — no machines, no screens, no music. It is the smallest casino you will ever be asked to dress for, and the only casino in this concept.
